About a 2 hour beautiful drive from Springdale, Buckskin Gulch is located in the Grand Staircase Monument area. This amazing slot canyon is one of the longest in the world! Once you are inside the 200+ foot tall Canyon walls, you can explore the stories told by indigenous inhabitants of the area (pictographs) and enjoy a hike through the spectacular narrows stretching for miles. All Buckskin Gulch trips are full day, travel time is approximately 4 driving hours, leaving approximately 4 hours for hiking and touring.
We provide logistical guidance, interpretative information of human history, geography, geology, and anecdotal folklore.
Please note that Buckskin Gulch is a dry hike and not an active river hike like Kanarra Falls or Zion Narrows.. but it is affected by rain and snow and can store water in the slot canyon as it passes through.
