Adventure Summer Camp for Teens
This 7-day 6-night program is an adventure leadership camp designed by our founder to elevate teens, ages 14-17, to higher levels of adventure in climbing, canyoneering, hiking, and camping as well as develop higher levels of responsibility, confidence, and independence.

We spend most of our time off the beaten path introducing and building great proficiency in canyoneering and climbing skill sets

Itinerary Sample:
This itinerary is provided as a frame of reference but may vary due to weather conditions, national park access issues, and group needs. Your guides will maximize your time, skill sets, and activities and remain flexible.
Day 1: Arrive in LAS between 8 am to noon (Pacific Time)[Some flight conflicts may require teens to fly in the night before and stay at a hotel in Vegas - but this should be discouraged]. Your guides meet you at baggage claim and gather the group to depart together for Zion National Park by noon. During the 2.5-hour drive to night 1 campsite, guides will do an introduction to canyoneering with rappels to 60 feet in height. Post-canyon, the group will move to a remote campsite and as a team, set up camp, prepare dinner together, star-gaze, and evening debrief.
Day 2: Early rise for 6 am breakfast preparation and departure for the Zion Narrows. This day's hike will inspire and enthrall. Introduction to Zion’s geology via the Zion Canyon scenic drive, the main attraction of the park. We ultimately arrive at the Temple of Sinawava and then work our way 5 miles round trip to Wall Street in the grandfather of all slot canyons. With the remaining afternoon, we explore a swimming hole and make our way back to camp for Night 2. Group dinner followed by day debrief and preparation for Day 3 activities.
Day 3: Break camp and work our way through Zion and on to Bryce Canyon. On the way, we explore a hidden gem slot canyon and practice our Day 1 skills with several rappels. We set camp near the canyon and at the doorsteps of Bryce Canyon National Park. We make an early dinner then explore Red Canyons for a hoodoo-filled hike. Day debriefs and discussion.
Day 4: Sunrise Hike along Peekaboo trail and then the Navajo Loop Trail through Bryce’s Wall Street, understanding why it is known as the “icing on the cake.” We investigate a few other Bryce gems, then break camp and move our way back toward Zion for night 4 camp.
Day 5: Another early rise is made worth it as we work our way to hike the off-the-beaten-path canyon known as Birch Hollow. This 10-rappel canyon combines wilderness hiking through multiple biospheres, a deeply engorged slot canyon, and rappels up 120’. Afterward, we try to catch the sunset in Zion, do some swimming up at Kolob camp, then finish up with debrief and deliberations.
Day 6: We leave camp set up, and focus our skill sets on rock climbing. Taking what we have learned about canyoneering and flipping it upside down, turning rappelling into belaying and challenging ourselves on climbs up 80’, ranging in difficulty from beginner to your hardest ability and beyond. We round out the day with an epic closing dinner and paddling in the reservoir for sunset. This night will be concluded with a full trip debrief and closing ceremony.
Day 7: We knew this day would come, but our debriefs have helped prepare you for re-entry into your prior life. We wrap up camp and sneak in one last activity as we work our way to Las Vegas. Departures for LAS with flights departing between 3 - 7pm Pacific time.
Groups are a maximum of 12 co-ed teens with both female and male professional guides who are experts in all aspects of the trip. This is an active learning trip where teens will walk away with essential life skills derived from negotiating wilderness environments and challenges, overcoming mental and physical obstacles, and sharing successes with their contemporaries in ways that build lifelong bonds.
This trip is not for every teen, but for every teen who joins this camp, their life will change and they will be better prepared for the many challenges their journey into adulthood will present them.
